For the first time ever both kids are at the same school! Natomas Park Elementary School holds a Coyote Carnival each year and it's always a fun time for the kids. Each class has a station where they raise money for their classrooms and for the PTA. Brian was at a golf fundraiser for one of the other local elementary schools, so I braved this event solo. I gave Jason a roll of tickets and off he went. Caitlin had a fantastic time calmly checking out the different carnival games and selectively choosing which ones she wanted to spend her tickets on. Her first pick was face painting (and waited extra long to ensure that her teacher, Mrs. Pugh would be the one doing her face). She ended up with quite a few prizes while Jason mostly walked away with sweets -- shocking! We were only able to stay for about an hour because we had plans to move on to swabbies where our friends the Greenly's were having another event to raise money for ovarian cancer. The kids were thrilled we were able to make the carnival, if only for a little while.
