Go Fire Dragons!

Jason's soccer season has officially begun with an all day seeding tournament. He is now in "under eights" which means they now have real rules, score keeping and believe it or not, winners and losers. Jason has been playing sports for over three years now and this year's baseball and now soccer, are thee first time when there is any sense of real competition. He tends to keep score in his own head, but before now it wasn't really discussed in terms of trying to win. We go from playing only for fun to now jumping straight into an all day tournament which lead to placing them in their division (one out of nine) and setting up their schedule for the remainder of the season.

Jason is one of a few kids who have been chosen to play Goalie. In the first game he let two goals get past him but then in the second half was playing forward and scored three himself. Final score: 3-2 (fire dragons won). We are always telling him "this isn't the Jason show"... turns out we were wrong for that game at least.

They played a total of four games. They won two and lost two. They were so much fun to watch and the kids did a great job together and we look forward to watching them for the next few months!

Good luck Fire Dragons!
