Here is a picture of the sad, lonely ONE crawdad we caught. When we were little, our Papa would put out the crawdad net with a can of dog food and in the morning we would pull it up and it would be completely full of crawdads. This is the same net, same place on the ramp and the same kind of gross wet dog food. Who knows why (environmental changes perhaps?) but every time we have tried to catch crawdads in the last couple summers we have caught only one or two. It's pretty sad. Jason wanted to cook it and thought he and Ryan could share it for dinner. We sent the poor fellow back to his home in the river.
They're getting a little big to all get in there together.
Excuse me...
one out of four smiling, not too bad.
still smiling, this is a nice change!
watching in suspense as Uncle Scottie (daddy for Ryan) pull up the crawdad net first thing in the morning.

Unfortunately due to the limited number of adults in the boat, I didn't get any pictures of Jason's huge water skiing improvement. He now can get up without my assistance in the water, and can put on his ski's alone too in case they come off after a fall. These are some big steps in the water skiing world and opens up many more opportunities to practice. Jason made it close to 1/2 mile we figured on his longest trip and survived some pretty significant waves. Each trip out makes such a big difference. Hopefully labor day weekend we can get some pics or videos.
