The Women's World Cup was the spark that ignited our decision to plan a European vacation. France held the series this summer and the scheduling made the most sense to see a game in France. After Grindlewald we took a train to Paris and arrived at our Air BNB. It was fantastic other than the dropped ceilings in the living and kitchen areas. Rob and Jason looked pretty funny! My dad was in Paris already waiting to meet us to exchange Jason for the next leg of their trip. Sarah and family were also there with a group to see the games. We were able to meet them all for Father's day at the Luxembourg Gardens followed by a lunch. The game was amazing. The women are so talented and it was very special to watch it with Caitlin who is such a big soccer fan. I missed almost the entire first half of the game in line for a T-shirt but... it was worth it :)
The next day we had a full day of sightseeing and fun taking pictures in front of the Eiffel Tower. We went to the Arc de Triomph, champs-élysées and then out to a nice dinner before calling it a night. We ate lots of baguettes and croissants and loved every minute of it.
To remember: Caitlin stocked up on souvenirs as her birthday request which is why you'll see so many pictures of her with her purchases!
