Jason has been asking to try snowboarding for the last couple months, so Brian decided to take him to Donner during their mid-week special (aka, cheap). Jason often is "all talk" (waterskiing for example, talks all Winter about how good he is and then chicken's out probably 75% of the time during Summer) so we were a little worried about the expense and energy of getting out there if he wasn't going to be into it.
I wasn't there for his first snowboarding experience but Brian said he did a great job. The lessons were full so Brian instructed him. They both said the first two runs were really tough, but then Jason started to catch on. By the end of the day he was doing a great job and loved it! Jason even said... "it was one of my favorite days ever". That makes it all worth it doesn't it? I know they are both looking forward to going again soon!
