YEAH for Memorial Day.. let's break in the River House!

Memorial Day is traditionally the first weekend of Summer. For the Jones/Clark/Hafensteins (plus extended Wood family members), it means the first trip to the River House. The moms spend time cleaning (and cleaning out) preparing for many weekends of fun, the boat gets dropped for it's first run of the year, the dogs explore, we get some sun and have a great time! Daddy was out of town with Grandma, so with the help of G&G, me, the kids and Sammie went up

to spend some quality family time together.

The weather wasn't as warm as we would have hoped, but by Sunday it was warm enough to play outside. All four of the kids did a great job, and seemed to have fun playing together. I took Jason and Caitlin to the beach, because Cait was dying to go swimming as always. She wasn't thrilled with the life jacket but insisted on going swimming anyhow. Jason went tubing and kayaking (with grandpa) but passed on water skiing - again. "Maybe next time" he always says...

All in all, it was a good weekend. We missed Daddy, made the best of his absence and had a lot of fun together. We can't wait to go again!
