We spent the long holiday weekend at the river house. Sunday of this weekend we all head off in different directions. My dad is taking Jason and Ryan on a 6 night baseball trip and I am heading back east for work. On Tuesday my mom will meet me in New York with Caitlin where they will explore and have fun while I'm working.
It was so wonderful to spend a few days relaxing at my favorite place. That was until.... we found Sammie eating oleander leaves. If you google what happens, there isn't any good news to be found. We were VERY fortunate and after an overnight Vet ER visit she is shaken up but out of the woods and healthy. Needless to say the oleander bush is gone and we will give Sammie lots of extra hugs and attention to help her through the trauma!
On the good side -- the kids FINALLY spent some decent time behind the boat. Caitlin got up skiing for the longest time yet and also tried out knee boarding. She loved it! Jason can fit into Scott's old wake board and got up on the first try. Including tubing they spent a good amount of time enjoying the open waters :)
