Christmas 2012

We had been anticipating Christmas for months around here. Every year Caitlin turns on 96.1 on December 1st when they start playing Holiday songs 24 hours a day. She falls asleep and wakes up to Christmas music all month long and loves everything about the season. Jason still has his moments of believing in the magic of Christmas and other days when he questions it all. We're holding on to all the opportunities to experience the joy through the innocent eyes of our wonderful children.

One of my favorite moments is when the kids open the presents they got for each other. I only give them $5 to spend and they always think hard about what the other one likes. Jason got Caitlin a big book of barbie coloring pages and she got him a double pack of baseball cards. Perfect for them! They get so excited. After Jason opened his, Caitlin leaned over to me with a big smile and said "he loves them!". That's what Christmas is all about.

Jason was very excited to get the Kindle Fire and Caitlin got a new chair that she "always wanted". We went over to my parents house in the afternoon along with Grandma and continued celebrating the day.
