Gingerbread Houses

Caitlin's friend Katherine came over to play last weekend and while she was here we attempted to make gingerbread houses. This is a project I have NEVER done with the kids. For one, I'm not patient or crafty. Secondly, they always do them at school which gives me an excuse not to do it at home. I decided to give it a try this year but didn't make the icing, just tried to use the frosting from a can. Big mistake. Because I didn't mix it with extra stuff to make it harden quickly, we had a few collapse during the process. The kids didn't mind in the end because it just meant they got to eat them more quickly.
