The children's shoe department at Nordstroms offered a shoe lace tying class for kids ages 4-6. I thought it would be a good place to introduce shoe lace tying to Caitlin. I have zero patience for trying to teach this to her, and I she barely even has shoes that have laces to begin with. But, she was super excited about it and followed nicely. As soon as she got one tied she was ready to move on. "I can do it now Mom, let's go". Hmmmm... They gave her a goody bag which included a special "nordstrom" shoelace that is two different colors and extra long for practicing. She also got a certificate and a free hot chocolate coupon which we used immediately.
