Man do these teachers know how to get kids excited for Christmas! As we all remember, the last couple days of school before Christmas break is more fun than learning. In Jason's class, they made Gingerbread houses, had a "white elephant" gift exchange, cookie decorating and a book exchange with another 3rd grade class. His gingerbread house roof caved in due to all the candy he put on there, but he turned it into a flat roof and continued to pile on the goodies. The white elephant exchange was absolutly hilarious. There were some tears, many trades, bartering and lots of laughs.
Caitlin's school put on a very short performance followed by a holiday lunch that even included kid-made poinsettia centerpieces. They were adorable and so proud of themselves!
