California State Fair

Last night we headed to Cal Expo for the California State Fair. It ended up being the perfect night to go. The high temp only reached about 88 degrees which is very mild for Fair weather. Also, the park was nearly empty which meant no lines at all! Jason and Brian got the unlimited wristbands and were able to fly from ride to ride without any wait. Caitlin and I strolled around and watched Daddy and Jason have a great time.

Due to the lack of people - the carnie's were more willing to negotiate on prices for carnival games, and even gave the kids free turns. Each even got a free goldfish! My camera battery died so I don't have many shots, but Caitlin was cuddling with her fish in her stroller. She was so excited she didn't want to put the fish down. Cait even got mad at me for putting her in a vase, she wanted to keep the fish in its bag and carry it around.

Jason started learning the tough lesson that you don't always win at carnival games. He started questioning why they would want to trick us and said "they just want our money?" "Yes Jason, they just want our money". He did NOT think this was right.
