Today was another gorgeous day so after Jason's basketball game and Caitlin's nap, we decided to go to the zoo for the afternoon. Even though Jason has been to the Sacramento Zoo a million times, we realized we don't think Caitlin has ever gone. The "zoom" as she called it, was fairly busy and many of the main attraction animals (tigers, jaguars, etc) weren't anywhere to be found, but we had a pretty good time.
Jason has gone with Grandpa and with school and 4th R so many times in the last few years, that I don't think Brian and I have even been there probably since he was 4 or 5. I don't remember the play area, which is a great addition, and was very much needed by the time we were done seeing all the animals.
Hopefully we'll get back to the zoom again soon. I forget how big Caitlin is getting and how many wonderful toddler friendly things there are to do in Sacramento. She's been such a good sport at tagging along for all of Jason's events, we need to make sure to fit in some toddler time too! I'm sure she's ready for Fairytale town and Funderland as well, those will be next on the list.
